Our Story

Eliesha, Jake and Shaun first began their tattooing careers together as apprentices in Wentworth, training under the same mentor and learning the foundations of the industry alongside one another.

Those early apprenticeship years were where it all began. They were learning, practising and discovering tattooing together, without knowing where their careers would eventually take them.

Over the years, each artist followed a different path. They worked in different studios and environments, built their own client bases and gained experience through their own individual journeys.

Those separate paths allowed each of them to develop a distinct artistic style, personality and way of working. Although they shared the same beginning, they each grew into very different artists.

After many years on separate professional paths, the opportunity eventually arose for all three artists to work alongside one another again.
They have now reunited under the In Katharsis roof.  There is something incredibly special and nostalgic about returning to work together after so many years. Three artists who began at the same point, trained under the same mentor and then followed completely different paths have now found their way back to sharing a studio.  It feels like things have come full circle.

Together, Eliesha, Jake and Shaun bring more than 40 years of tattooing experience to In Katharsis. Each artist remains independent, with their own style, strengths, process and creative voice, while sharing a long history and genuine respect for one another’s work.

Coming back together has created a new chapter for In Katharsis, built on where they started, everything they have learned along the way and the experience they now bring together under one roof.
